Feature: A unique way of transformation in Comval: Impact World Tour

by R. Manugas

Compostela Valley (7 July) -- Youth with a Mission (YWAM), an International Christian organization which is focused to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and discipleship through schools and neighborhood centers spearheads IMPACT WORLD TOUR 2010 starting July 9-25. This is through the initiative of BM Paul Galicia-Program Coordinator of the Provincial Spiritual Development and Moral Recovery Program of Governor Arturo T. Uy.

Impact World Tour aims to showcase talents and skills of different performances from people around the world. They will be performing all throughout the province in three categories such as Team Xtreme, GX International and Island Breeze.

Team Xtreme will showcase strong men lifting heavy objects, GX International features break dances, hip hop, RNB and other modern dances while Island Breeze depicts culture and tradition of different people around the world via cultural dances. About 12 different nationalities will perform including Japan, Australia, Canada, Fiji, New Zealand, Scotland, among others.

According to Simeon Garrett- a Christian youth missionary from England who had been staying in COMVAL for nine months, the purpose of having the impact world tour is to promote strong family ties, to enhance value formation and to deliver the message of God that life is so precious and that we should live life according to what God has plan us to be.

Impact World Tour had their maiden show in New Bataan last July 5, in Monkayo last July 6 and 7, July 8 in Laak. They will also perform on July 9-11 in Compostela, July 13 in Mabini, July 16-18 in Maco and Pantukan, July 20 in Montevista and Maragusan and their grand finale presentation will be on July 23-25 at the Provincial Capitol Freedom Stage at 5:30 PM.

Gov. Arturo Uy has been thankful for the IWT?s interest to perform and make a change in Compostela Valley through its unique way of delivering value formation and a God-centered life. In fact, Comval is the only place in the country where the IWT holds this big event. The governor invites everyone to watch and be a part of the show on the scheduled dates as this will be on free admission. (IDS Comval) [top]
